Every so often a hoax may come across in your email and you may find it so incredible that you forward it to everyone you know. Sometimes this information seems "credible" enough or "reasonable" enough for you to take notice of it.
When you come across something that sounds official, free, or "too good to be true", then you should take the extra time to check some government sources or otherwise.
